Are you struggling with cleaning motivation?
Well, you don’t have to struggle anymore—Here are 10 tips to keep your cleaning motivation going.
Set A Schedule And Stick To Your Schedule
Make your cleaning schedule a weekly or daily routine. Try to clean at the same time on the same day. I like to do a complete house cleaning every Saturday morning after breakfast.
Start Small And Work Your Way Up To Bigger Cleanings
Start by cleaning the kitchen, and if that feels like it’s enough, it’s okay. Pat yourself in the back by cleaning one thing, and then next time, clean the bathrooms and the next time ad some living room cleaning.
You don’t have to clean the whole house at once if it feels overwhelming. If you are new to cleaning, starting small is perfectly okay.
Turn On The Tunes
Turn on your favorite song and rock it out! Make cleaning and tidying up fun. Sign your favorite tunes while you clean. Turning the music on can boost your mood and increase your energy levels.
Imagine Your House Clean And Organized
Think about how wonderful and calm you will feel when your home is organized and clean. How happy you will feel when all your chores are done, and your house smells divinely good. Imagining your home clean is a great way to keep up your cleaning motivation
Reward Yourself When Your Chores Are Done
Make sure to reward yourself for a job well done! Get yourself something nice, take yourself to the movies or buy some fresh flowers.
Place the flowers in your kitchen, so when you wake up and make breakfast, you’ll see the beautiful flowers and get a small reminder that you got those for yourself as a reward for doing such an excellent cleaning job.
Rewarding yourself can help you keep the motivation going and incentivize you to do it again.
Clean A Bit Throughout The Week
Try to tidy up every day a bit. Fold some clothes. Dust your lamps. Clean the dishes. Small cleanings ad up and help out when you do more extensive cleaning.
Clean Early In The Morning
Wake up, grab a cup of jo or your favorite tea, eat a healthy breakfast, and get to cleaning!
After sleeping, you have all that morning energy to use, so you might use it to clean your home.
Think how good you will feel around midday when your home is clean and tidy.
Avoid Getting Distracted To Keep Your Cleaning Motivation
Turn off your phone and get rid of other distractions. If you focus on cleaning, you can get it done much faster.
Stopping to check out Facebook or to scroll through Instagram is just going to distract you from your tasks.
Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself
Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t clean everything you wanted to clean. There is always tomorrow or the next day, and believe me, there is always more that has to be cleaned.
Make It A Family Affair
If you live with other people, everyone should pitch in a bit. One cleans the bathrooms while you clean the kitchen and so on.
If you live alone and feel overwhelmed, ask your friend if they could come over and help. Say you’ll buy them breakfast or lunch as a thank-you.
People love to help, and friends love to feel needed.
I hope this helps you get more motivated to clean, and maybe this even motivates you to ask your friend if they need help cleaning and organizing their homes. For more cleaning tips go here!
